In plain words: Nocturne is a writing tool for adults. Everything it writes is fiction you asked for. What you write, keep, or share is your responsibility. We do not read your private stories, and we do not allow anything involving minors — ever.
1. Who can use Nocturne
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and it must be legal for you to access adult fiction where you are.
- By creating an account or generating a preview you confirm the above and agree to these Terms and to the Content Policy, which is part of these Terms.
2. What Nocturne is
- Nocturne is an AI-assisted creative-writing studio. You describe a story; software drafts it in the voice you choose. The output is generated text, not advice, fact, or a depiction of real events.
- The stories are fiction. Any resemblance of a generated character, name, or situation to a real person or event is coincidental and not intended by us.
- Generation can fail, be slow, or refuse a scene. Credits for stories that do not complete are returned automatically (see section 5).
3. Your prompts and stories
- You own the prompts you write and, to the extent permitted by law, the stories generated from them. We claim no ownership of your private stories.
- You are solely responsible for what you type into Nocturne and for how you use the result, including whether it is lawful to create, keep, or share where you live.
- We do not review private stories. We store them so you can read them again; you can delete any story at any time from your library and it is removed permanently.
- We may use anonymous, aggregate statistics (story length, language, author voice, thumbs up or down) to improve the writing. We do not publish your prompts or stories.
4. Private use vs. publishing
- Private use means reading, downloading, and keeping a story for yourself. Within the Content Policy, we do not restrict the themes you explore privately.
- Publishing means anything that shows a story to other people through Nocturne: share links, public story pages, or our social accounts. Published stories must follow the stricter rules in the Content Policy, including no real, identifiable people.
- Sharing a story outside Nocturne (other sites, chats, social media) is your decision and your responsibility. Laws on adult fiction, defamation, and the likeness of real people differ by country and some are strict.
- We may disable a share link or public page that breaks the Content Policy, and will act on valid reports sent to the address in section 8.
5. Credits and payment
- Stories are paid for with credits or a monthly plan. Free credits are a gift and can be changed or withdrawn.
- Payments are processed by third-party providers (currently cryptocurrency checkout). Crypto payments are final once confirmed on the network; credits purchased are non-refundable except where the law requires.
- If a story fails to complete, is stopped by you, or the author declines a scene, the credits for that attempt are returned to your balance automatically.
- Credits never expire. Plans renew or expire as described at checkout.
6. Accounts
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to farm free credits, automating requests, or attempting to break the service may result in suspension without refund of free credits.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or the Content Policy. You can delete your stories at any time; to delete your account, email us.
7. Liability
- Nocturne is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a particular story will be generated, that generation is error-free, or that the service is always available.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
- You agree not to hold us responsible for consequences of content you created with the tool, kept, or shared.
8. Changes and contact
- We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
- Questions, account deletion, and reports: support@nocturnestories.art. Reports about a shared or public page can also be sent with the "Report" button on that page.
